The Karnataka Audio and Video houses have joined together for the first time to exercise their control and get back the right share of revenue for their software.

The audio especially is enjoyed by the FM stations in Bengaluru by paying pea nuts to the audio houses and to check their losses via physical stock happening via piracy the Audio and Video Association 120 members.

The prestigious audio recording company Lahari Velu heading as the President of the new association with other committee members such as Mohan Chabria of Anand Audio, Krishnaprasad of Ashwini Media Network Limited, Bharat Jain of Jhenkar Audio and Video, Ratan of Ganesh Video addressed the media on Saturday evening on the future course of action.

According to the new decisions ten days deadline has been set for the eight popular FM stations to come to terms. On the basis of the audio company strengths they have to arrive at the business proposals. The Producers of Kannada cinema will be requested at the time of handing over the rights of the audio.

The meeting arranged by Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Chair person Thara Anuradha with Karnataka Chief Minister would present a memorandum for speedy implementation of Anti Goonda Act, abolition of 4 percent of VAT on audio houses etc. The VAT abolition amounts to Rs.15 to 20 crores per annum. Like how the entertainment tax exemption is there for Kannada films we are seeking the abolition on the same principles says Velu.

·         Today is Sudhina. In the last 30 years we have not joined together. Now together via this association.

·         We are suffering losses from FM stations and Ringtone business besides the internet downloading.

·         We are already in the ICU but do not want to go to ventilator situation.

·         We are not paying good money to Kannada film producers because we are not getting. Crazy Loka was taken for Rs.6.5 lakhs but I have not sold even 6000 copies of it.

·         We are fighting according to the Intellectual Property Right. We are not giving the FM Stations in case they do not come to terms.

·         Even for orchestra troupes, reality shows rendering songs and singers going with the songs that belong to various audio stations will be alerted.

·         According to Anand Audio Mohan the retailers instead of selling the originals are selling the duplicates. I have seen and checked it from my eyes in places like Srirangapatna and other interiors.

·         Ganesh Video Ratan stated that the films are available just after three days on the roads and it is a big bane to run the business for operators like him who do the actual business.
